從後台看《時光䟇極限》Behind the curtain of 'Si Gwong Gei'

「大家好!
是咁的，我叫BEAR。」
可能你都聽過呢句對白，但你對我有冇印象呢？
我係2012 a cappella 學生領袖訓練計劃其中一個學員，
1/4/2012既無伴奏露天音樂會我都有份演出。

入正題，
今次《時光䟇極限》的演出，
我有幸可以參與其中，
真心感謝Patrick，以及家偉、天恩兩位。

在這數個星期，
我在上課天和周末分別花了一天來觀看香港旋律的排練。
人手不足的時候，
我會替兩位Deputy Stage Managers們攝錄綵排片段，
讓表演者能夠在餘暇中練習舞步。

其實，我的工作微不足道，
但每次我來到排練室的時候，
總會有人跟我說：「謝謝你！」，
雖然只是三個字，
可是，留在我心中是窩心的暖意。
令我感覺，
香港旋律不只是一隊才華滿溢的無伴奏合唱組合！

音樂，
感動人心的時刻常有。
依偎於練習室一角的時候，
偶然會隨著夜深而傷感，
聽到了「曖昧」可以「愛或情借來填一晚」；
聽到了「國王的新衣」卻會「無盡興奮」。
只要香港旋律在唱，我的心就能尾隨他們去一趟旅行。

排練的過程中，
我吸收到的比我付出的遠多了，
比如體驗到一場演出的籌備，
了解到公演劇場的運作，
感受到幕後付出的努力，
我都得到了機會嘗試。

現在，
即使《時光䟇極限》完畢了，
《香港2012國際無伴奏合唱節》也結束了，
我的腦海內依然充滿著觀摩香港旋律排練的畫面，
我的心仍然希望可以再見到香港旋律的成員們，
我的嘴巴繼續重複著耳熟能詳的歌調。

不用驚訝，這只不過是香港旋律的魔力！


Hello, I'm Bear from the 2012 a cappella Training Program. Today, I would like to talk about my experience in participating in the production of 'Si Gwong Gei'.

Firstly, I would like to thank Patrick, Anita and Thomas for giving me the chance of being a part of this experience. I treasure the opportunity to observe a splendid theatre production.

For the last few weeks, I had been attending the rehearsals of Hong Kong Melody Makers and helped filming occasionally. It wasn’t a difficult job, though I messed up some times. Still, the filming work wasn't my main focus, it was to learn while enjoying their performance.

Sometimes when I came over, some HKMM members would come and thank me for putting effort into this show. I can feel the warm appreciation and the welcome for me, then I realized, it is their hearts which makes HKMM the best and special in their own way.

On the days when the rehearsal takes place at night, it's easy for me to be emotional. When I hear their songs, I can always bring out my sadness and happiness as there are quite a lot of different songs with a variety of feelings. It felt like as the songs were taking me on journeys.

During these days, I am always receiving rather than contributing. I learn life-long skills from the rehearsals, but all I did was to record paragraphs. The theatre offered me opportunities.

Now that all the events are gone, what has left is my heart for a cappella. Joining this theatre production definitely brings me a lot of admiration for Hong Kong Melody Makers.

2012無伴奏合唱大師系列 Rockapella!

經過兩場露天音樂會和十分成功的2012國際無伴奏音樂盛典，又是時候熱切期待2012無伴奏合唱大師系列–Rockapella!
After two outdoor concerts and a very successful a cappella Extravaganza, it's time to be excited for the 2012 acappella Master Series: Rockapella!


全男班無伴奏合唱組合Rockapella成立於1986年，出道至今，他們在美國和日本一共出版了十七張專輯。2006年他們曾訪問香港，為大家留下深刻印象。這次我們有幸邀請他們重臨香港，為本年度的無伴奏合唱大師系列作表演嘉賓。
Rockapella was formed in 1986 and have released seventeen albums to date, both in the USA as well as Japan. We had the pleasure of meeting them during their last visit to Hong Kong in 2006, and we are very happy to welcome them back to the city once again! Here is a photo we took with them in 2006.


國際殿堂級組合The Real Group及The Swingle Singers曾為我們擔任無伴奏合唱大師系列表演嘉賓，並得到高度評價。這次你又豈能錯過4月20日Rockapella的精彩表演呢？
Our previous Master Series concerts have featured The Real Group and The Swingle Singers, and were very well received. Don't miss out on this year's show on April 20!


筆者小記：記得第一次接觸無伴奏合唱，是小學時看到Rockapella演出電視節目'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego'的主題曲，時至今日，這首歌仍然是他們膾炙人口的歌曲之一。聽到此曲，記緊大叫''Do it Rockapella '﹗
A personal note: Rockapella was my first exposure to a cappella music, as I watched the TV show 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego' when I was in primary school! This is still Rockapella's most famous song. Remember to shout 'Do it Rockapella' before they sing this song!

A Festival Extra - Yellowjackets and Friends!

我們很高興宣佈今屆無伴奏合唱節會有另一隊來自美國的隊伍參與，他們就是Yellowjackets and Friends！
We are very happy to announce the arrival of an ADDITIONAL a cappella group from the USA for the Hong Hong 2012 International a cappella Festival: Yellowjackets and Friends!

提到Yellowjackets，如果大家有看過美國國家廣播電視公司的無伴奏合唱比賽節目「The Sing-Off」，相信對這隊來自美國羅切斯特大學的五人男子組合Yellowjackets一定不會陌生，以下是他們在比賽中的片段：
If you've watched Season Three of NBC's 'The Sing-Off', you'll definitely know the faces of Yellowjackets and Friends: five of its members performed as part of the University of Rochester Yellowjackets:


這次和他們一起到香港為我們表演的，還有在Urban Method中負責人聲敲擊的Richard Steighner，他精湛的口技，一定能提升整個演出的可觀性。
You should also know Richard, who was the vocal percussionist of the group Urban Method:


另一位要向大家推介的就是Christopher Diaz，他的來頭可不小，Christopher不單在The Sing-Off節目中負責編曲，他亦擔任合唱指導，為一眾參賽者提供訓練。
最後要為大家介紹的就是Reynaldo Deguzman，他當然不只是Yellowjackets的朋友而已，他更是一個舞台劇演員，他飾演過多部著名百老匯音樂劇如灰姑娘等等。
They are joined by Christopher Diaz, one of the arrangers and coaches for The Sing-Off, as well as Reynaldo Deguzman, who has performed on Broadway in numerous lead roles (Hairspray, Little Mermaid, Cinderella). They form a very strong group and are an excellent addition to the Festival!

合唱節活動重要通告 Important Festival Notice

由於場地臨時變動，我們決定取消原定於3月30日舉行的2012 無伴奏香港理工大學音樂會 a cappella Showcase，這個消息當然令一班熱愛a cappella的表演隊伍或是觀眾感到失望，因為他們將會錯失一個和不同的參加者和觀眾分享音樂的好機會。在此，我們期望日後有機會再舉辦同類型的音樂會，召集一班本地無伴奏合唱的的精英隊伍聚首一堂，和大家互相交流、分享心得。
Due to venue issues, we are sorry to announce that the March 30 a cappella Showcase (in Hong Kong Polytechnic University) has been cancelled.

而每年合唱節的重頭戲當然不少得我們在灣仔伊利莎伯體育館所舉辦的2012 國際無伴奏音樂盛典，今年是我們第三個年頭在同一個場館和本港歌手和外國精英隊伍合作，回顧過去兩年的盛況，觀眾每一次熱烈的歡呼聲，都讓我們感受到他們對於音樂的熱愛和追求。
And don't forget the biggest a cappella concert of the year, the 2012 International a cappella Extravaganza on March 31! This is the event's third year, building on the enthusiastic response to the last two concerts in Queen Elizabeth Stadium. You'll be able to hear overseas talent as well as local pop stars in a stadium setting!

每一年的無伴奏合唱節都會吸引一眾樂迷熱烈討論，皆因國際級a cappella巨星都會因這個盛事而來港獻技！繼The Real Group和The Swingle Singers後，今年主辦單位繼續請到相當有份量的大師級人馬﹣來自美國的全男班組合Rockapella! Rockapella可謂無伴奏樂壇的「長青樹」，皆因他們於1986年組成，擁有超過20年的歷史，今趟來港演出必定會為整個合唱節生色不少!

We are excited to invite American a cappella talent for this year's Festival. Following the phenomenal teams of the past two years (The Real Group and The Swingle Singers) is the acclaimed American all-male group Rockapella! They have been around for more than twenty years, and are sure to blow us away in their 2012 a cappella Master Series concert.


除了大師級外，合唱節亦同樣請來無伴奏合唱「新星」﹣ 來自美國的Beelzebubs 及 Delilah，他們均是“The Sing-Off"的參賽者，而Beelzebubs更曾參與膾炙人口的電視劇「吉列合唱團」(”Glee“)！他們將會在3月31日，於2012國際無伴奏音樂盛典中表演，當中還會有我們很熟悉的歌手謝安琪(香港2012 國際無伴奏合唱節大使)出現，跟我們以全新方式合作演繹她的作品。如果你有欣賞去年的無伴奏音樂盛典，還記得伊館3,000觀眾大合唱為日本送上關心的一幕嗎？今年在同樣的地方，將會有澎湃熱烈的歌聲揭開a cappella的新一頁，一起來見証無伴奏合唱的魅力！

We are very happy to invite young American a cappella talent for this year's Festival. In March, you will be able to see the Tufts Beelzebubs (in addition to being a finalist in the NBC a cappella competition 'The Sing-Off', they have also been recorded as the voice of The Warblers in the hit TV show 'Glee') as well as Delilah (Season Three of 'The Sing-Off'... welcome back, Amy and Laina!) performing in the 2012 International a cappella Extravaganza, which also features the popular artist Kay Tse, our a cappella Festival Ambassador.

Our award-winning vocal band quartet will be heading to multiple cities in Australia and New Zealand at the invitation of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office (Sydney)! They will also hold a mini-concert in the Fringe World Festival Perth 2012 as part of their tour.
